The setup process for the Adapter for EnterpriseOne
is comprised of the following basic steps:
- Create the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne synonyms. You
use the synonym creation facility for Db2, Microsoft SQL Server,
or Oracle.

- Configure the Adapter for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. This
indicates whether you will be using Group-based or Role-based security.
- Refresh security extracts. You
will need to perform this step initially, and repeat it only if
security information changes.
- Refresh the metadata repository. You
will need to perform this step initially, and repeat it only if
there are changes in the metadata for tables. This occurs infrequently
at most sites.
- Convert the synonyms for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
- Set UDCDIC parameters (Windows only). This
step is required before you can run reports.
