The Configured Adapters list on the Connect to Data page lists the adapters that have already been configured for the current operational instance.

Add connection |
Adds a connection for adapters that have the functionality to support multiple connections. These can be created in any level profile. |
Change Settings |
Displays the Change Setting page, where you can change a variety of settings in effect for the selected adapter. |
Remove |
Removes the adapter configurations and all connection settings from the list of configured adapters. |
Help |
Provides specific information for the adapter. |

Properties |
Enables you to view and change connection parameters. Note: Duplicate entries are not verified. |
Show DBMS objects or Show files |
Opens the synonym creation pane, where you can enter the information required to create a synonym. These panes vary for different adapters. For information, click the ? next to each parameter. |
Test |
Runs a select statement for name/owner against a catalog table with a limit of up to 15 records. See Test an Adapter Connection. |
Duplicate Connection |
Opens a Duplicate Connection panel with the same connection name, suffixed with _dup, and the same server as the original connection. You can use this to connect to a different database than the one in the original connection, or use a different type of security model. |
Configure Bulk Load |
For some adapters, such as the Adapter for Redshift ODBC, opens a bulk load configuration page. |
Test Bulk |
Tests whether extended bulk load is available and displays a message. |
Test DBMS Case Sensitivity |
Displays a panel with information about case sensitivity for this DBMS. |
Impact Analysis |
Produces a report of the synonyms that use the connection. |
Delete |
Deletes connection settings. Note: Entries are deleted from the profile in which they were created. |
