In WebFOCUS Release 8.2 Version 01M, where Lucene version 4 is implemented for the index, there is a change in the behavior of how lock files are handled. In Lucene version 4, the lock file is still present, even after the index is closed. In previous versions of Lucene, the lock file was deleted automatically after the index was closed.
