Removing Customizations

How to:

All users can remove their own customizations for either a portal or a particular page in a portal. Developers and administrators can also remove all user customizations, which include all personal pages created by users at run time, as well as any changes made to unlocked pages at run time.

You can remove customizations in one of the following locations:

Procedure: How to Remove Customizations From a Portal in the Resources Tree

  1. In the Resources tree, under the Portals node, right-click a portal.
  2. Point to Customizations and click one of the following options:
    • Remove My Customizations. Removes your own customizations from a portal, deletes your personal pages, and unlinks any pages that were linked at run time.
    • Remove Customizations for All Users. Removes all user customizations, any personal pages created at run time, and any links to pages that were linked at run time.

Procedure: How to Remove Customizations From a Page in the Resources tree

  1. In the Resources tree, under the Portals node, expand a portal.
  2. Right-click a page that you want to modify, and then click Remove My Customizations.

    The customizations are removed from the modified page.

Procedure: How to Remove Customizations From a Portal at Run Time

  1. From the Menu Bar of a portal, click your username.
  2. Click Remove My Customizations.
    The customizations are removed from the portal and its pages. Personal pages are removed. Pages that were linked at run time are unlinked.

Procedure: How to Remove Customizations From a Page at Run Time

  1. Inside the running portal, right-click a page tab.
  2. Click Remove My Customizations.

    The portal refreshes. The customizations are removed from the modified page.

    Note: This option is not available when the Lock Page option is selected.
