Basic GIS (Geographic Information System) capabilities
are built into WebFOCUS. Data that is bound to a geolocation, such
as state, country, or ZIP code, or to longitude and latitude values,
can be viewed as symbol layers integrated into a powerful map viewer.
Popular supported formats are proportional symbol maps (also called bubblemaps),
in which markers are drawn on top of the map, and choropleths (polygons
that color locations on top of the map).
Note: Map requests must use strict JSON syntax. This means that all property and object names and all string values must be enclosed
in double quotation marks.
