You can now track when users view Library reports. This feature enables you to keep a record of how often certain Library reports are accessed, and to comply with regulatory auditing requirements of your organization.
To access the libraryAccess log file, launch the Administration Console, click the Diagnostics tab, and then click Log Files. The following image shows the link you can click to view the libraryAccess log and the menu to set the Log Level option for the libraryAccess log.
When you access a Library report through the Resources tree, a portal, the ReportCaster Explorer, the ReportCaster API, a SOAP Web Service, or a RESTful WebService, a record of the event will be created in the libraryAccess.log file. Each line in a libraryAccess log file shows information in the following format:
[YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss,sss] INFO [Thread Identifier] User_ID – FullPath: IBFS_address; Description: Library_Report_Title; Version Number: Library_Report_Version_Number
The following image shows two libraryAccess logs generated from one Library report.
Note: The description information is to the right of the full path information.
